Gillian Holtom
Gillian Holtom is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Sandwell in the Black Country. With an MA in Fine Art, she experiments with a wide range of media and practises, primarily painting and collage, but ceramic sculpture, cyanotype, screen printing on textiles and paper, as well as photography. Much of her work reflects objects found in the family archive that are re-imagined in a contemporary context.
Her work is a response to feelings of hyper-sensitivity and overwhelm in a range of environments. She uses vivid colours in her art to express and process emotions including grief and anxiety. She is co-founder of Amass Collective and has also been trained as a well-being walk leader by the Art Yard Gallery.
